Sponsorship and Scholarship programs for post secondary students pursuing a career in the coal-fired power generation industry.

The PRB Coal Users’ Group Student Sponsorship program provides a means for students pursuing higher education with interest in working within the industry preferable for a coal-fired generating company to attend and actively participate in the industry’s largest gathering of individuals who are passionate in carrying out the mission of the Users’ Group. This annual event begins on a Monday with all day pre-conference workshops followed by a networking reception and power plant awards banquet. The students are recognized at the banquet in addition to hearing a dynamic, motivating speaker. The next two days are filled with networking opportunities and learning through actual case studies and experiences from those who use coal.

Students travel expenses including air fare, hotel, meals are provided along with a year’s complimentary membership to the PRB Coal Users’ Group. This gives full access to the group’s member website including an interactive forum, industry best practices, presentations from previous meetings, and much more.

The PRB Coal Users’ Group named this program in honor of Mark Collett
